By using BuySolar.ng, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the website on behalf of a business, you represent that you have the authority to bind that business to these Terms.

Pricing

• All prices are displayed in Nigerian Naira (₦) and include applicable VAT
• Prices are subject to change without prior notice
• In the event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel any orders placed at the incorrect price and refund any payments made
• Delivery fees are calculated at checkout and may vary based on location and order value

Product Availability

Product availability is subject to change. If a product you ordered is no longer available, we will notify you and offer a full refund or a suitable alternative.

4Orders & Payment

Placing Orders

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products selected. All orders are subject to acceptance by us. We may refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Product unavailability
• Pricing or description errors
• Suspected fraudulent activity
• Violation of these Terms

Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

• Card Payment: Processed securely through Paystack (Visa, Mastercard, Verve)
• Bank Transfer: Direct bank transfer to our corporate account
• Pay on Delivery: Available for select locations within Lagos

Payment must be received in full before we process your order, unless paying on delivery.

Order Confirmation

Upon successful payment, you will receive an order confirmation email with your order ID and details. Please save this email for your records and for tracking purposes.

5Delivery & Shipping

• Delivery Coverage: We deliver nationwide across Nigeria
• Delivery Timeframes: Lagos (1–3 business days), Other cities (3–7 business days), Remote areas (7–14 business days)
• Free Delivery: Orders above ₦500,000 qualify for free delivery within Lagos
• Delivery Fees: Calculated based on delivery location and order weight
• Risk of Loss: Title and risk of loss pass to you upon delivery of the product to the shipping carrier

Delivery delays may occur due to factors beyond our control (weather, logistics partner delays, security situations). We will keep you informed of any significant delays.

6Returns & Refunds

Return Policy

• You may return products within 7 days of delivery if they are defective, damaged, or significantly different from the description
• Products must be returned in their original packaging with all accessories and documentation
• Products damaged due to misuse, improper installation, or normal wear and tear are not eligible for return
• Batteries and solar panels that have been installed or connected are non-returnable unless defective upon delivery

Refund Process

• Refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days after we receive and inspect the returned product
• Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
• Delivery fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error

7Warranties

• All inverters carry a 12–24 month manufacturer warranty (varies by brand)
• Batteries carry a 6–12 month warranty depending on type (LiFePO4 batteries may carry longer warranties)
• Solar panels carry a 25-year performance warranty and 12-year product warranty
• Charge controllers and accessories carry a 12-month warranty

Warranty claims must be submitted with proof of purchase. Warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, power surges, water damage, or modifications. Warranty service is provided at our discretion — repair, replacement, or refund.

8Intellectual Property

All content on BuySolar.ng, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, product descriptions, and software, is the property of Lightsup Energy Solutions or its content suppliers and is protected by Nigerian and international intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, or distribute any content from our website without prior written permission
• Use our trademarks, logos, or brand assets without authorization
• Scrape, extract, or data-mine our product database or pricing information
• Create derivative works based on our website content

9Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, Lightsup Energy Solutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our website or products, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Power outages or equipment damage resulting from improper product installation
• Delays in delivery or order fulfillment
• Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or your use of our services shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the product or service in question.

10Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lightsup Energy Solutions, its directors, employees, and partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of our website, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

11Prohibited Conduct

When using BuySolar.ng, you agree not to:

• Use the website for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Place fraudulent or fictitious orders
• Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the website
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the website without permission
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Post false, misleading, or defamatory reviews or content

12Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved as follows:

• Step 1 — Informal Resolution: Contact us at info@buysolar.ng and we will attempt to resolve the dispute within 14 business days
• Step 2 — Mediation: If the dispute is not resolved informally, either party may request mediation through the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry
• Step 3 — Arbitration: If mediation fails, the dispute shall be referred to arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria, in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act

13Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

For material changes that may affect your rights, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via email or a prominent notice on our website.

14Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be replaced with a valid provision that most closely reflects the intent of the original provision.
